NOAH Integration Audiqueen can be configured to retrieve audiograms and speech audiograms from a NOAH database (see automatically and to send audiogram data from Audiqueen to NOAH. For this, NOAH Web Service (WSI) needs to be added to the NOAH and Audiqueen infrastructures. The WSI-license can be provided by HIMSA or by Otoconsult.  See also the NOAH Integration Installation Manual.

It is essential that the NOAH file of a patient gets linked or paired with his/her file in Audiqueen.  The way to do this depends on where the patient file is created first.

Recommended configuration

For a seamless transfer of data, it is recommended to configure NOAH and Audiqueen as follows.

  • NOAH: set NOAH's Patient Numbering Tool to Automatic.

  • Audiqueen Administrator Tools: In the Noah configuration, check the 2 checkboxes in the Noah Import Settings, as indicated in this figure...

Audiqueen first

After creating a patient in Audiqueen (either manually or starting from your EMR), and entering an audiogram, right-click on the result gridline and click on Send to NOAH.

The patient will now be automatically created in NOAH, paired with the Audiqueen patient and the audiogram will appear in NOAH.

From now on, if a result is created in Audiqueen and sent to NOAH (by right-clicking on the result line in the grid), the result will automatically be available in NOAH.

If you don't want NOAH to automatically assign a number to the patient's file, then set NOAH's Patient Numbering Tool to Manual (see above).

If you now open NOAH, this icon appears to indicate there is a new patient in the cue.

Click on this icon, then select the patient in the NOAH Patient Resolution Window and click on Resolve.

NOAH will now ask you to enter a number manually.
Now both files (NOAH and Audiqueen) are paired and the patient and the audiogram appear in NOAH.

NOAH first

After creating a patient in NOAH, and entering an audiogram or a speech audiogram, create the same patient in Audiqueen.

Audiqueen will detect the NOAH homologous patient and automatically pair both files and import the NOAH results.

Disable automatic linking:

If you don't want Audiqueen to automatically set the link between patients without any manual confirmation by the user, you can uncheck the corresponding checkbox (Allow automatic result import) in Audiqueen's settings (see above).   Now you need to manually establish the link

Audiqueen automatically detects that a patient exists in NOAH and asks to link both cases.

Click on Import to pair both files (in NOAH and Audiqueen) and to import the available audiological results.

From now on, if a result is created in NOAH, it will automatically be available in Audiqueen.

Disallow proposing near-perfect matches for the whole centre

If you don't want Audiqueen to automatically propose such exact matches, uncheck the corresponding checkbox (Audiqueen should propose near-perfect matches) in Audiqueen’s settings (see above).

To link a patient, you must manually open the Noah linking form by pressing the Audiqueen crown at the left top, then select Link to Noah.

Disallow proposing near-perfect matches per Audiqueen user

If you do not wish to receive these automatic notifications as an Audiqueen user, you can select the corresponding checkbox (Do not show me this window again) and click on the X button at the right top of the window.

Other Audiqueen users will still receive notifications. You can still manually open this window.

Link all unlinked Noah patients

To process Noah patients that are not yet linked, go to the Administrator Tools and select Noah Configuration. You will then be able to link all unlinked Noah patients. Results coming from Noah will be visible after you have set the link for this patient.

Historical NOAH data

NOAH can be configured to export data automatically after saving a test result. Alternatively, the user can opt for the manual export of data. Exported data then becomes available in Audiqueen (see further).

Audiqueen can also request NOAH to export historical data (from a certain period)
and make them available to Audiqueen. This feature is typically used once, typically during the installation of the NOAH link.
